Privacy policy
Discretion is the heart of Éclat Désirs. This page explains what we collect, how it is used and shared, and the rights you can exercise at any moment. It is maintained by Éclat Désirs and written in plain language, in line with the EU GDPR and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG). To request deletion or an export of your data, write to privacy@eclatdesirs.com and we will respond within 30 days.
What we collect
Account details
Your name or chosen alias, email address and language preference. A Muse may add a portrait, biography and profile visibility settings.
Wishlist content
The desires you curate — items, links, notes, prices and categories — plus whether a list is public, unlisted or password-protected.
Delivery addresses
A Muse may store a delivery address so gifts can reach her. It is never displayed to a Patron; deliveries are routed through the Éclat Concierge relay with a per-wish reference code.
Gifting activity
Contributions, gift status, personal messages, thank-you notes and any media shared in a memory page.
Payment information
Payments and recurring memberships are handled by our payment provider. We receive confirmation, amount, currency and status — never full card numbers.
Technical data
Basic device, browser and log information needed to keep the platform secure and functional.
How it is used
To operate your wishlist, deliver gifts, process contributions and memberships, send the notifications you have chosen, keep accounts secure, and improve the platform. We do not use your data for advertising profiles.
How it is shared
Never sold, never rented
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Between Muse and Patron
A Patron sees the wishlist, the wish contributed to and any message intentionally shared. A Muse sees a Patron's chosen display name unless the gift was sent anonymously. Home addresses are never exchanged.
Patron anonymity
A Patron's identity is never shared with anyone other than the Muse he chooses to reveal it to, and never publicly. Patron counts, totals and contribution histories are never displayed on a profile, a wishlist or anywhere on the site.
Service providers
Payment processing, hosting, email and delivery partners receive only the minimum information required to perform their task, and only for that purpose.
Legal obligations
We may disclose information where a valid legal obligation requires it, limited strictly to what is requested.
Your rights
At any time you may ask us to:
- —Access a copy of the personal data held about you
- —Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete
- —Delete your account and associated content
- —Export your wishlist and gifting history
- —Restrict or object to certain processing
- —Withdraw consent, including for emails and notifications
Write to the concierge desk at privacy@eclatdesirs.com and we will respond within thirty days.
Retention & security
We keep the minimum required to run the platform. Delivery addresses are stored privately and revealed to no Patron. Gifting records are retained while your account is open and for as long as tax or accounting obligations require, then removed. When you close your account, your profile and wishlists are deleted.
Cookies
We use only what is necessary to keep you signed in and the platform working, plus simple usage measurement. No advertising trackers.
